Homeowners who install eligible renewable heating technology can receive quarterly cash payments over seven years under the Government’s domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.

Ground to water heat pumps, air to water heat pumps, certain solar thermal panels, biomass boilers and pellet stoves with integrated boilers can all be eligible, subject to terms and conditions, if they provide space heating and/or hot water for the home. All systems must also be listed on the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Product Eligibility List.

The RHI scheme has encouraged the uptake of renewable heat technologies by homeowners, communities and businesses alike. Bamfords has helped many homeowners and commercial organisations to take advantage of both the domestic and commercial RHI schemes.

We can assist with applications for RHI funding, which is made through the Ofgem website, and can recommend the most appropriate combination of renewable technologies for any project.

March 2016 saw the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) announce their intention to make a number of key amendments to the RHI Scheme. Tariff details can be seen in full on the Energy Saving Trust website, and we are fully abreast of all current tariff information.
